Description

Why Sony Interactive Entertainment?

Sony Interactive Entertainment isn’t just the Best Place to Play — it’s also the Best Place to Work. Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) is the company behind the PlayStation brand. As a subsidiary of Sony Group Corporation, we’re part of a proud legacy of innovation and excellence. SIE is a dynamic technology company, delivering cutting-edge hardware and network services to more than 100 million people and an entertainment leader, home to some of the most beloved and recognizable intellectual properties (IP) in the world. Our role at SIE is to create and nurture the experiences under the PlayStation brand, a name synonymous with entertainment excellence and creativity.

Role overview:

PlayStation Store is a multibillion-dollar global digital commerce platform at the center of how players discover, buy, and enjoy content - and this role shapes how the Store catalogue is planned, prioritised, and promoted.

As the Senior Manager, Catalogue Planning, you will set the strategy, experimentation and planning approach for the PlayStation Store catalogue, connecting title roadmaps, promotional moments, and commercial priorities into a clear global plan. This role reports to the Senior Director, Planning & Proposition and leads the Catalogue Planning team of 2 people.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Define catalogue and promotional strategy. Own the annual and quarterly approach for managing and monetising the Store catalogue, setting clear commercial objectives, principles, KPIs, and guardrails for promotional activity.
  • Build the integrated catalogue plan. Translate DGM and partner roadmaps, revenue forecasts, contractual commitments, and activity requests into a prioritised central plan, master calendar, and sequenced delivery roadmap.
  • Govern priorities and execution readiness. Lead quarterly priority planning and promotional calendars.
  • Lead experimentation and learning. Direct the promotions experimentation agenda with Analytics, Data Science and other partners; define hypotheses and measures, evaluate results, and scale learning into catalogue and promotion decisions.
  • Orchestrate cross-functional delivery. Align cross-functional teams on support levels, customer journeys, localisation, dependencies, and market-specific needs.
  • Lead the team and operating model. Manage and develop the Catalogue Planning team members; clarify accountabilities, improve planning standards, and use automation to remove manual coordination and increase output quality.

What we’re looking for:

  • A minimum of 10+ years of experience in strategy, operations, pricing & promotions or ecommerce roles, ideally within technology, retail, media, or digital entertainment.
  • A proven record of setting promotional strategy and translating it into measurable revenue, conversion, engagement, or customer-value outcomes.
  • Demonstrated people leadership, including building capability, setting clear accountabilities, and creating a high-performing, inclusive team.
  • Advanced analytical judgement: able to interpret complex commercial and customer data, distinguish signal from noise, and use experimentation to make decisions.
  • Strong planning and programme leadership across annual, quarterly, and in-quarter cycles, with disciplined governance of priorities, dependencies, capacity, and delivery risk.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead across global and local teams in a complex matrix organisation.
  • Crisp executive communication, commercial curiosity, resilience, and a bias for action and measurable outcomes.

Desirable:

  • Experience managing a large digital-content catalogue or marketplace, including title lifecycle, discoverability, and merchandising choices.
  • Hands-on experience with digital promotions, pricing mechanics, segmentation, and test-and-learn programmes.
  • Knowledge of games, subscription, media, or other partner-led content ecosystems.
  • Global-local fluency and experience balancing enterprise standards with regional and market-specific requirements.
  • Higher education in Business, Marketing, Economics, Data Science, Analytics, or a related discipline is a plus.

Benefits:

  • Hybrid working
  • Discretionary bonus opportunity
  • Private Medical Insurance
  • Dental Scheme
  • 25 days holiday per year
  • On Site Gym
  • Subsidised Café
  • Free soft drinks
  • On site bar
  • Access to cycle garage and showers

About this role

This role leads catalogue strategy and planning for the PlayStation Store, a multibillion-dollar digital commerce platform serving over 100 million players globally. You'll own the annual and quarterly commercial approach to the Store's catalogue, translating game roadmaps, revenue forecasts, and promotional priorities into a coordinated global plan. The position sits at the intersection of strategy, operations, and cross-functional delivery, requiring you to align teams across digital game management, analytics, marketing, and regional markets while governing priorities, dependencies, and execution readiness.
