About this role
This is a Saturday-only caregiving position with a Menlo Park family supporting two school-age boys (ages 9 and 11) on the autism spectrum. You'd work 10-hour shifts from 11:30 AM to 9:30 PM, with some flexibility on exact timing. The role centers on providing structured supervision, planning and facilitating engaging activities suited to the boys' interests, managing behavior with positive strategies, and handling basic meal prep and routine care during your shift.
The family prioritizes caregivers who are comfortable maintaining consistent routines and creating a supportive environment. You'll need proven experience working with children on the autism spectrum or in special education settings, along with solid knowledge of autism-specific care, behavioral support, and routine management. The position pays $32–36 per hour based on your experience level.
This is a direct hire with the family, not through an agency. You'll need to pass a background check and provide proof of work authorization. If you're looking for part-time weekend work and have hands-on experience supporting children with autism, this could be a good fit.
