About this role
BAYADA's Delaware Pediatric North Office is seeking a registered nurse for private duty pediatric home care, with an immediate need for weekend shifts covering tracheostomy and ventilator patients. This role differs significantly from traditional home health: you'll provide hands-on care to a single client per shift in their home, building ongoing relationships with families and watching children progress from infancy through young adulthood. You'll execute physician orders, perform assessments, monitor conditions, and document care with considerable autonomy, working shifts of 8, 10, or 12 hours on a schedule you help design.
The position offers $41–$43 per hour depending on the client assignment, comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage, PTO, paid holidays, 401(k) matching, employer-paid life insurance, and an Employee Assistance Program. BAYADA emphasizes a structured onboarding process: your first day is paid and includes meeting the team and clinical educator; orientation includes paid training in their simulation lab, documentation, fit testing, and shadowing with an experienced nurse in the client home before working independently.
To qualify, you need a current RN license in good standing and graduation from an accredited nursing program. If you have pediatric experience, comfort with complex medical needs like trachs and vents, and prefer building deeper client relationships over multiple brief visits, this private duty model may suit you well.
