About this role

VitalCaring Group is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to deliver home health therapy in the Tampa area. You'll work under the supervision of a Licensed Occupational Therapist, implementing personalized treatment plans that help patients regain independence in daily activities following illness or injury. Your day-to-day work involves hands-on therapy in patients' homes—retraining them in self-care tasks like dressing and bathing, assessing home safety, educating patients and caregivers, and documenting progress in the electronic medical record. This is a field-based role that requires you to manage your own schedule while staying connected to the broader care team.

The position calls for an active COTA license, current CPR certification, a valid driver's license with reliable transportation, and strong clinical observation skills. Home health experience is strongly preferred, as is the ability to adapt care to real-world home environments and confidently flag changes in patient condition to the supervising therapist. You'll need to work independently while maintaining clear communication with nurses, therapists, and leadership.

This role suits someone who thrives in one-on-one patient interaction and wants to see direct impact on functional outcomes. VitalCaring offers competitive compensation, comprehensive health and wellness benefits, a 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and tuition reimbursement for continuing education.
