About the Role
Please note: This team is hiring across all levels. Candidates are assessed individually and leveled appropriately based on their skills and experience.
The Endpoint Data Security team designs, implements, and enhances next-generation endpoint security products. Netskope Endpoint DLP extends our Cloud DLP solution to data-in-use on employees’ managed machines, protecting it from loss and theft. It seamlessly extends all the advanced capabilities of Netskope Cloud DLP to corporate endpoints, consistently identifying, monitoring, and protecting sensitive data leaving those devices (e.g., via USB).
What’s in It for You Our Software Development Engineers in Test (SDETs) build robust Python automation tools to execute functional, regression, security, performance, and scale testing for our services and clients. If you love writing code to test software, have a knack for finding ways to break things, understand cloud service architecture, and can automate day-to-day operations, we would love to speak with you.
What You Will Be Doing

Collaborate with a group of brilliant engineers to build service technologies that enable a holistic data security solution.

Write high-throughput code using modern software development techniques.

Analyze requirement specifications to research, design, and implement solutions that ensure reliability, sustainability, scalability, and observability.

Partner with Product Management to define and understand product requirements.

Write and execute development test routines for your specific modules.

Partner with the QA team to help them optimize their product testing strategies.
Required Skills and Experience

10+ years of SDET experience with a proven track record of delivering creative, innovative, and functional solutions in a collaborative environment.

Advanced Python programming skills.

Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines using tools like Drone, Jenkins, or similar technologies.

Proven experience testing distributed systems.

Strong advocacy for modern Quality Engineering methodologies.

Deep technical knowledge of Windows and macOS systems.

Proven ability to apply data structures and algorithms to practical engineering problems.

Comfort with ambiguity and a proactive approach to resolving issues and making decisions.

Exceptional attention to detail combined with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Education

BS in Computer Science or equivalent required; MS in Computer Science or equivalent strongly preferred

About this role
Netskope's Endpoint DLP team is building test automation infrastructure for next-generation endpoint security products that protect sensitive data on corporate machines. As a Staff SDET, you'll write high-performance Python automation tools to validate functional, regression, security, performance, and scale testing across distributed cloud services. This role sits at the intersection of quality engineering and software development—you'll design robust testing solutions, collaborate with product and QA teams to refine testing strategies, and help ensure the reliability and observability of systems that extend Netskope's Cloud DLP capabilities to endpoints.
The position requires 10+ years of SDET experience with advanced Python skills, hands-on expertise building CI/CD pipelines (Drone, Jenkins, or equivalent), and proven success testing distributed systems. You'll need deep technical knowledge of Windows and macOS, strong grasp of data structures and algorithms, and the ability to work comfortably with ambiguity while maintaining exceptional attention to detail. A BS in Computer Science is required; an MS is preferred. This is an in-office role in India, and the team is hiring across multiple levels, with individual assessment determining your placement.
