DH Pace Company, Inc., is seeking Commercial Door Technicians in the Tacoma, WA area. In this position, you will be responsible for the repair and/or installation of a variety of building materials, commercial doors, and door hardware. If you've worked as a general laborer, carpenter, field technician, mechanic, glazer, or in any skilled trade — we want to talk!
What You'll Do
- Install and/or repair a wide range of commercial door and door hardware including roll up doors also known as dock doors, dock equipment, high speed rolling doors and commercial entry doors
- Identify opportunities to provide customers with products and services
- Operate in safety conscious manner at all times while performing job duties
- Other duties as assigned
What You Bring
- High School Diploma/GED (Preferred)
- Experience in a similar role or one that required a mechanical aptitude preferred
- Ability to safely lift up to 100 pounds
- Ability to work at heights and use a ladder
- Must possess valid driver’s license and good driving record

The anticipated pay range for this position is below. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. This position may be eligible for an annual performance bonus.

About this role
D.H. Pace Company is looking for Commercial Door Technicians to join their Seattle-area team as a contract employee. You'd be installing and repairing commercial door systems—including roll-up dock doors, high-speed rolling doors, and commercial entry doors—along with associated hardware and equipment. The work combines hands-on technical skill with customer interaction, as you'll also identify opportunities to recommend additional products and services to clients. This is a field-based role requiring physical capability (lifting up to 100 pounds, working at heights) and a valid driver's license.
The company values skilled trades experience and is open to candidates from carpentry, mechanical, glazing, or general labor backgrounds—formal training in doors specifically isn't required. You'll receive paid training on DH Pace's products and processes, and once you complete the initial training period, you'll have a company truck and fuel covered, plus tool and boot allowances.
