About this role
Cohere Health is seeking a physician leader to shape the clinical strategy and market direction of its inpatient care management offerings. You would serve as the internal subject matter expert driving program design and innovation, working with health plans, health systems, and ACOs to understand their needs and translate those into technology-enabled solutions. The role bridges clinical expertise with business strategy—you'll evangelize Cohere's vision to prospective clients, collaborate across Product and Engineering teams to develop clinical logic and policy architecture, and lead the creation of research packages investigating new clinical areas and partnerships.
This position demands both clinical credibility and business acumen. You'll need an active medical license, board certification, and at least five years of post-residency practice with inpatient experience preferred. Based remotely with roughly 10% travel, the position offers a $285,000–$305,000 salary plus comprehensive benefits including health coverage, 401(k) matching, paid parental leave, and flexible time off. This is suited for a physician who has moved beyond full-time clinical practice into strategic healthcare leadership and wants to drive innovation at a growing healthtech company.
