About this role
GeoStabilization International's RoadGuard division is seeking an experienced heavy equipment operator to run specialized punch trucks—drop hammers and vibratory post pounders—during guardrail installation on highways across North America. You'd be central to every installation, setting the pace for your crew while ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Beyond operating the punch truck itself, you'll drive to and from job sites, support layout and setup work alongside the foreman, and handle material loading and unloading. When site conditions don't allow for equipment use, you'll also work with power tools and manual digging as needed.
This role requires a Class A CDL (or the ability to obtain one within your first two months) and a solid foundation in heavy equipment operation—ideally two to five years of experience. You'll need at least two years of commercial driving experience and a strong grasp of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Prior experience with guardrail installation or heavy highway construction is valued, as is any background in maintaining hydraulic or pneumatic equipment. The position is full-time and based in Cheyenne, Wyoming, with compensation of $31 to $36 per hour depending on your qualifications and experience.
