About this role
Working in Toast's Employee cloud team, you'd handle the critical logistics of getting payroll checks and tax documents to restaurant workers on time and accurately. Your days would involve printing and sealing payroll packages, quality-checking printed materials, coordinating with shipping vendors like UPS and FedEx, and maintaining detailed records for compliance purposes. You'd also monitor weekly payroll schedules to flag upcoming deadlines and work with internal teams in Customer Care and Payroll Operations to keep everything moving smoothly.
This role demands strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, since errors directly affect employees' paychecks. You'll need to be comfortable with some flexibility—the position requires working until 8 pm or later several times a week. Prior experience in high-volume, high-accuracy shipping logistics (ideally 2–3 years) and familiarity with shipping software would set you apart, as would a college degree. Based in Chicago with a hybrid arrangement, you'd earn between $18.27 and $29.33 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
