About this role

Clēnera, a top-tier renewable energy developer and operator, is looking for a Financial Controls & Budget Analyst to manage cost oversight across its growing portfolio of utility-scale solar and storage projects. You'd be the financial backbone for project teams, tracking expenditures and forecasts against budgets throughout each project's lifecycle while partnering with Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Development. The work spans monitoring commitments and accruals, administering change orders, reconciling budget forecasts, and maintaining detailed cost reporting by work breakdown structure—essentially ensuring financial discipline and visibility as projects move from development through construction.

This role demands strong analytical skills and comfort with data, particularly in Excel and ideally in reporting platforms like Power BI or Tableau. Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) or construction management software (Procore, Primavera P6) is valued. You'll need a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, plus the ability to juggle competing priorities with precision and communicate findings clearly to cross-functional teams.

The position is hybrid in Boise and includes comprehensive benefits: fully covered medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement matching, HSA and FSA options, paid time off, and incentive pay. It's suited for someone who thrives on detail-oriented analytical work within a collaborative environment and wants to contribute to renewable energy infrastructure at scale.
