About this role
Azurity Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Senior Manager to lead its Medical Information function, overseeing how the company delivers scientific content and clinical guidance to healthcare professionals, patients, payers, and internal teams across its specialty pharmaceutical portfolio. This role sits at the intersection of clinical expertise and operational management—you would manage a call center vendor, supervise Medical Information Managers, review complex medical inquiries, and maintain a library of scientifically accurate response materials. The position requires someone who can synthesize clinical evidence, ensure regulatory compliance, identify process gaps through data analysis, and serve as the escalation point for difficult or nuanced questions that fall outside standard protocols.
The ideal candidate brings three to five years of Medical Information experience, including exposure to complex scientific content review and vendor oversight. An advanced degree in a health sciences field—PharmD, PhD, or equivalent credentials like RN, RPh, PA, or NP—is preferred, ideally paired with postdoctoral or residency training in Medical Information, Drug Information, or clinical pharmacy. You would work across Azurity's therapeutic areas (cardiovascular, neurology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, and orphan markets) and partner closely with Quality Assurance, Pharmacovigilance, Clinical Development, Commercial, and Regulatory teams to support product launches and governance activities.
The role is based in Raleigh, North Carolina, with in-office expectations Tuesday through Thursday, and offers the chance to shape how a specialty pharmaceutical company communicates science to multiple stakeholder groups while building expertise in underserved patient populations.
