About this role
Belmont Charter Network is seeking a Director of Out-of-School Time (OST) for Belmont Charter High School, a part-time, 12-month role that will shape the vision and operations of before- and after-school programming. You'll lead a team of part-time coordinators and staff, manage budgets and grant compliance, and ensure students have access to high-quality academic support and youth development opportunities during non-school hours. The position requires hands-on involvement in hiring, staff coaching, program planning, and stakeholder communication—working directly with students, families, funders, and school leadership to keep programming running smoothly and effectively.
This role suits someone with at least three years of direct experience working with school-age students and preferably two years in a supervisory capacity within after-school or daycare settings. You should bring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to research and implement evidence-based practices in youth programming. Familiarity with Pennsylvania's OST funding landscape—including 21st Century Learning Center grants, ELRC, or PHMC grants—is valued, as is knowledge of state daycare licensing regulations.
Beyond credentials, Belmont is looking for someone who connects authentically across differences, thinks creatively through problems, and genuinely believes in the power of education to serve students from diverse backgrounds. The schedule runs 10 am to 6 pm during the school year and 8:30 am to 5 pm in summer, with occasional evening and weekend availability expected. You'll report to the Head of School and work within a mission-driven network committed to trauma-informed practice and whole-child support.
