About this role
Green Thumb Industries' Physical Security Operations Center Specialist role is a night-shift position (10 PM–8:30 AM, four days per week) based in Chicago that combines real-time monitoring, incident response, and coordination across multiple security platforms and teams. You'll be the first responder to physical security events—from CCTV and alarm systems to access control and emergency notifications—while managing communication with internal departments, site leadership, and law enforcement to protect GTI's facilities and people.
The work demands strong situational awareness and composure under pressure. You'll monitor critical systems, document incidents thoroughly, conduct remote audits and testing, and participate in after-action reviews to strengthen security protocols and business continuity processes. Success requires the ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and communicate clearly when decisions matter most.
The ideal candidate brings at least three years of experience in physical security, dispatch, emergency operations, or a similar SOC environment, ideally with hands-on familiarity with CCTV, alarm systems, and access control platforms. You'll need a high school diploma (college degree preferred), valid driver's license, and must be 21 or older. Because this role supports the cannabis industry, you'll need to pass background checks and obtain state badging approval. The salary ranges from $55,000 to $65,000 based on experience, with potential eligibility for a discretionary annual incentive.
