About this role
Kaseya is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead the design and evolution of endpoint agents that manage, secure, and monitor millions of devices worldwide. This role sits at the intersection of systems programming and large-scale distributed software—you'll architect solutions across Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile platforms while working closely with product, security, cloud engineering, and platform teams. The work spans device management, software deployment, patch management, compliance, automation, and security initiatives, requiring both deep technical expertise and the ability to translate complex customer problems into scalable product capabilities.
You'll split your time between hands-on engineering and technical leadership. On the engineering side, you'll design and build new endpoint capabilities, develop reliable system services, investigate production issues across diverse customer environments, and improve agent resilience and performance. On the leadership side, you'll drive architectural decisions, mentor engineers on systems programming and OS internals, define engineering standards, and participate in cross-functional design reviews. This is genuinely hands-on—you'll contribute code to critical features while shaping how the team approaches endpoint development.
The role demands 10+ years of software engineering experience with at least 5 years building system-level or endpoint software. You need deep expertise in at least one OS platform and strong programming skills in C, C++, Rust, Go, or C#/.NET. Equally important is a solid grasp of OS internals, endpoint security concepts, MDM ecosystems, and experience deploying software at massive scale. Experience with RMM, UEM, EDR, or endpoint security products is a plus. This is a remote position based in Miami.
