About this role
Honor Foods is hiring an Inventory Control Specialist for their Philadelphia warehouse on the first shift (Monday–Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm). The role centers on maintaining inventory accuracy and product quality through daily counting, discrepancy analysis, and close coordination with management. You'll use warehouse management systems and RF guns to track stock, organize storage areas for efficient shipping and receiving, monitor invoices, and rotate products as needed. The position also involves resolving customer issues related to inventory problems and reporting on damaged goods daily.
This is a hands-on warehouse role that requires physical capability—you'll need to lift cases weighing 40 to 50 pounds regularly and work in cooler and freezer environments. You should be comfortable with basic computer systems (Excel and warehouse management software), have strong attention to detail, and communicate clearly with managers and coworkers. Prior inventory experience and forklift certification are preferred but not required; what matters most is being organized, reliable, and able to work independently in a fast-paced setting.
The position pays $18 to $20 per hour and includes a solid benefits package: health, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k) matching; paid time off; tuition reimbursement; and an employee discount. You'll need to pass pre-employment physical ability testing. Be aware that while the standard schedule is first shift Monday through Friday, the role carries potential for extended hours and weekend work.
