About this role
Flexport's Customs Team in Amsterdam is hiring a Global Customs Associate to handle the documentation and compliance work that keeps shipments moving across borders. You'll prepare and file customs clearance paperwork for imports and exports, review incoming documents against EU regulations, classify products using GRIs, and identify opportunities to apply preferential trade agreements. The role sits at the intersection of logistics operations and client service—you'll be solving real problems for companies moving goods across 112 countries while maintaining the relationships that keep them coming back.
This position suits someone with 2–5 years of customs experience who thrives on accuracy and volume. You'll need solid familiarity with product classification and customs rulings, strong organizational skills, and genuine comfort working entirely in digital systems. Dutch language ability is a plus. Beyond technical competence, Flexport is looking for problem-solvers who will push back when something doesn't make sense and who measure their own success by client outcomes.
The package includes full health insurance, 25 vacation days, commute coverage for those outside Amsterdam, a pension contribution scheme, equity as a shareholder, and parental leave support. You'll work in-office in a fast-growing company where learning from experienced logistics professionals is part of the daily environment.
