Description
The Team
Our GTM Enablement team plays a critical role in helping Datadog's Sales, SDR, and Customer Success teams succeed by equipping them with the right skills, knowledge, and tools at the right time. We partner closely with teams across Sales, Customer Success, Product Marketing, Curriculum, and Operations to ensure enablement programs translate into real performance in the field.
If you like adding value and seeing the direct impact of your work through the people you lead, and you thrive in dynamic environments where you can roll up your sleeves and get things done, this role is for you.
The Opportunity
Datadog is investing further in EMEA, and we're looking for a Manager, Field Enablement to lead our team of Field Enablement Managers supporting Sales, SDR, and Customer Success across the region — a frontline people leadership role where you'll manage, coach, and grow your team while helping execute the enablement strategy and quality bar for EMEA.
You'll partner closely with EMEA Sales, SDR, and Customer Success leadership, as well as Enablement Curriculum, Program Management, and Operations teams, to translate regional priorities into a coordinated enablement plan across markets and segments — keeping your team's programs tightly aligned with our global Field Enablement standards.
This role is ideal for someone who has excelled in field/sales enablement and leadership, cares as much about developing enablement practitioners as developing sellers and CSMs, and wants to help build the enablement leadership layer for one of Datadog's fastest-growing regions.
What You'll Do
- Spearhead the Field Sales Enablement team’s transition from facilitators/trainers to data-driven business partners and coaches who are able to proactively identify GTM knowledge/performance gaps and deliver targeted enablement solutions that drive behavior change
- Manage, coach, and develop your team of Field Enablement Managers — regular 1:1s, goal-setting, performance feedback, and career growth plans calibrated against the Field Enablement career path.
- Own workforce planning for the EMEA team, including recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new Field Enablement Managers as headcount and market coverage scale.
- Set the enablement strategy and priorities for EMEA in partnership with Sales, SDR, and Customer Success leadership, translating regional business goals into a coordinated plan across your team.
- Establish and maintain a consistent quality bar for delivery — facilitation standards, coaching rigor, program effectiveness, and AI fluency — through practice sessions, calibration exercises, and delivery reviews.
- Serve as the strategic partner and escalation point for EMEA Sales, SDR, and CS leaders, coaching your team to turn field listening into insight that shapes enablement priorities and regional recommendations.
- Keep EMEA aligned with the global Field Enablement organization: partner with the Director and other regional leaders on standards and certifications, represent EMEA in global forums, and report team impact and outcomes to stakeholders.
Who You Are
- 7+ years of experience in sales enablement, field enablement, training, or a related GTM role, including direct experience as a Field Enablement Manager or equivalent senior individual contributor.
- Prior experience managing people directly, or clear, demonstrated readiness to step into people management — including experience hiring, onboarding, and scaling a team, ideally in a fast-growing or newly-formed function.
- Deep understanding of the EMEA GTM landscape, with experience supporting Sales, SDR, and/or Customer Success teams across multiple markets and languages.
- Track record of partnering with senior Sales, SDR, and CS leadership to translate business priorities into enablement strategy, backed by excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influence skills.
- Strong coaching orientation — certified coach (e.g., ICF ACC/PCC, Co-Active CTI, or equivalent) preferred, or a demonstrated commitment to developing one — paired with expert facilitation experience and familiarity with sales methodologies (MEDDICC, Command of the Message, Challenger, Sandler, etc.).
- Data-driven approach to enablement — comfortable using sales performance data, field feedback, and qualitative insights to set priorities and measure impact; experience with Asana or similar project management tools is a plus.
- Fluent in English (additional European languages a strong plus), and willing and able to travel approximately 30% across EMEA.
Why This Role Matters
As the first people leader for Datadog's EMEA Field Enablement team, you'll build the leadership layer that helps a growing team of Field Enablement Managers do their best work — and, in turn, help Sales, SDR, and Customer Success teams across EMEA ramp faster, sell better, and retain more customers. You'll shape how enablement scales as a function in one of Datadog's most complex and fastest-growing regions, with a direct line to the Director of Field Sales & CS Enablement.

Datadog is building out its Field Enablement leadership in EMEA and needs a manager to lead a team of Field Enablement Managers supporting Sales, SDR, and Customer Success across the region. This is a frontline people leadership role where you'll manage and develop your team while executing the enablement strategy for one of the company's fastest-growing regions. You'll partner with regional sales and customer success leadership to translate business priorities into a coordinated enablement plan, set quality standards for delivery and coaching, and serve as the strategic escalation point for field leaders. The role involves workforce planning—recruiting and onboarding new enablement managers as the team scales—alongside keeping EMEA aligned with global Field Enablement standards.

A coaching orientation—ideally with formal certification—combined with expertise in sales methodologies and strong facilitation skills is important. You should be comfortable using data and field feedback to set priorities and measure impact, and you'll need fluency in English plus willingness to travel roughly 30% across EMEA.
