About this role
Comprehensive Mobile Care is looking for a part-time podiatrist to serve geriatric and underserved populations across Charleston and the surrounding region. Rather than operating a traditional practice, you'd work as an independent contractor providing foot care at senior centers, nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and veteran homes. The role involves routine and diabetic foot care, wound management, patient education, and diagnosis of common podiatric conditions in older adults. CMC handles all the administrative overhead—scheduling, equipment, supplies, billing—so you focus entirely on clinical work.
The position requires an active South Carolina podiatry license and a DPM degree, with at least one year of clinical experience; geriatric or mobile care background is valued but not required. You'd work roughly one to two visits per month on a flexible weekday schedule, typically 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, earning $700–$800 per visit. This is well-suited to someone seeking supplemental income or a lighter schedule while maintaining clinical practice, particularly if you're drawn to working with older adults in community-based settings rather than a traditional office environment.
