Our Driver may be autonomous, but Waymo’s finances are steered by experts like you. The Finance and Accounting group manages all aspects of our finances and serves as trusted advisors for all our strategic and enterprise endeavors. Along with managing compilation of our financial statements, looking after our cash and overseeing compliance, we partner closely with the business in overseeing company wide resource allocation, developing cutting edge compensation initiatives and generating detailed financial analyses to drive the business forward. We also develop advanced capital strategies to support the company’s short- and long-term future.

You will:
- Collaborate across numerous Waymo functional teams to develop an intuitive understanding of the key drivers of Waymo’s core ride hail business
- Build financial models related to various long-term business outcomes for Waymo
- Derive strategic insights and drive business action via financial data and independent/external research
- Prepare and present materials to senior leadership
You have:
- Currently enrolled in an MBA program focused on finance, strategic management and/or technology
- 3-5 years’ experience in Finance and Business Analysis, including Corporate/Strategic Finance, Private and/or Public Equity Investing, Equity Research or other associated fields
- Financial acumen with exceptional financial modeling skills and strong familiarity with financial statements
- Strategic and critical thinking mindset: able to think multiple steps ahead on the implications of financial decisions
We prefer:
- Management consulting experience, particularly on engagements requiring extensive financial modeling is a plus
- Experience in valuation methodologies and principles is a plus
- Industry knowledge or interest in the rideshare, automotive, or autonomous vehicle industries is a plus
- Software or other Tech industry experience is a plus

This internship suits someone with 3–5 years of prior finance or business analysis experience who can think strategically about long-term outcomes. You'll need strong financial modeling skills, comfort with financial statements, and the ability to synthesize independent research into actionable recommendations. Prior management consulting experience, familiarity with valuation methods, or background in rideshare, automotive, or tech sectors would strengthen your candidacy, though aren't required.
The position is hybrid in San Francisco and runs for the summer of 2027. You'll be compensated at $50/hour and eligible for Waymo's benefits programs.
