About this role
Paratek Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Specialty Sales Representative to cover the Nashville South territory, calling primarily on primary care physicians and podiatrists, with secondary focus on dermatologists. You'll be responsible for building and executing a data-driven business plan, conducting one-on-one and group presentations, managing sample distribution, and hitting territory sales goals while maintaining compliance with company policies and PDMA guidelines. The role requires strong clinical knowledge to communicate complex product information and treatment pathways to healthcare providers across multiple channels—virtual, phone, and in-person.
This position suits someone with at least two to four years of pharmaceutical or medical sales experience, ideally with a track record of meeting or exceeding territory targets. You should have hands-on experience executing office calls in primary care or specialty settings, and prior exposure to infectious disease, critical care, emergency medicine, or podiatry is strongly preferred. Knowledge of specialty pharmacy workflows and the antibacterial/infectious disease space is valued. Beyond sales acumen, you'll need strong presentation and organizational skills, proficiency with CRM systems, and comfort with Microsoft Office tools.
The role is field-based and full-time, requiring travel as needed, including overnight and weekend trips. You'll report to a Regional Business Director, attend national and regional training sessions, and represent Paratek at industry conventions. A bachelor's degree, valid driver's license, and clean driving record are required, along with passing pre-employment screening and ongoing customer credentialing.
