About Workshop

Workshop is a fast growing, venture-backed startup based in Omaha, Nebraska and we’re on a mission to create more happy Mondays for employees everywhere. We build software to help internal communications teams create, send, and measure multi-channel, employee-centric campaigns.

About this role

Workshop Digital is a venture-backed startup in Omaha building employee communications software, and they're seeking a Software Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 to work directly with their engineering and design teams on real product features. You'd work in a hybrid setup and have genuine autonomy—shipping code to production regularly rather than working on isolated training projects. The role emphasizes learning modern development practices, including AI-assisted tooling like Claude, Cursor, and Codex, with mentorship built in to deepen your software engineering foundation.

This internship suits someone with basic programming knowledge who's genuinely curious about how software gets built and shipped. You don't need extensive experience, but you should have real drive to learn, comfort with ambiguity, and enthusiasm for staying current with development trends. If you're the kind of person who gets excited about new frameworks and tools, and you're ready to contribute meaningfully to a product customers actually use, this could be a strong fit for your summer.
