About this role

EMIT Technologies is hiring a Powder Coat Prep operator to join its manufacturing facility in Sheridan, Wyoming. You'll be the critical link between the welding division and the coating line, receiving parts and preparing them for the next production stage. Your day involves hands-on work: inspecting materials, chemical washing, removing spatter and rust, masking, plugging, and labeling—all while maintaining meticulous attention to detail so parts meet quality standards before they reach the line loaders. You'll also keep your work area organized and safe, flag any defects or quality concerns to supervisors, and adjust priorities based on daily production needs.

This is a full-time, in-office role that suits someone with manufacturing or material prep experience (one to two years preferred, though not required with a high school diploma). You need to be comfortable with physical demands—lifting 50–75 lbs. repeatedly, standing and moving throughout your shift, and working with a sense of urgency in a production environment. Strong organizational skills, the ability to follow detailed procedures, and a genuine commitment to safety and PPE are essential. If you're dependable, detail-oriented, and thrive in a hands-on manufacturing setting, this role offers $18–$20 per hour.
