Today, over 300 of the world’s most-loved brands including Sephora, Gymshark and Costa Coffee work with Talon. One to turn their incentives into a reliable growth engine.

ABOUT THE TEAM:

Our product team consists of specialists in frontend, backend, QA, technical writers and design, as well as engineering managers and, of course, other product managers. We work in small collaborative cross-functional squads responsible for specific new features and improvements to our platform. We have plans to continue developing our product and developing our gamification and personalisation domains - and that's where your expertise would be needed.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Product Manager you will own the Gamification domain embedded within a product tribe consisting of 3 squads, with guidance from a Product Lead. You will gather valuable insights from retailers, brands, and internal stakeholders, and use your deep understanding of personalisation strategies to translate those needs into specifications for new features and improvements. You are passionate about how loyalty, personalisation and gamification  mechanics drive customer behavior and business outcomes, and you will work closely with our tech team in an end-to-end scrum squad.

ONCE YOU ARE HERE YOU WILL:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the retail and e-commerce landscape, including gamification, personalisation, and loyalty programs
  • Own discovery end to end — uncover what retailers and brands actually need through analysis, market research, and direct client engagement, and translate it into a clear product direction. Delivery is owned by your Engineering Manager, so this role is about defining the right problem and outcome, not running the project.
  • Build strong relationships with our Technical Account and Integration Managers and our retail integration partners to facilitate the development of our features
  • Work closely with other teams and actively collaborate across departments — including commercial, data, and engineering — to share your domain knowledge and drive alignment
  • Define and track key metrics around gamification impact to guide product decisions

WHAT WE NEED YOU TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • 3+ years in product management, ideally in B2B, internal tooling, or any other domain in which the end user is not necessarily the end consumer. Domain experience in loyalty or promotions is welcome, not required
  • Having the capacity to make decisions with incomplete information, being curious and pragmatic
  • Being self-organized and outcome-oriented, with the ability to work independently and a strong sense of ownership
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in an agile setting applying Agile methodology (2 weeks Sprints, JIRA)
  • Experience and curiosity when it comes to AI tools usage
  • Fluency in English
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong understanding of B2B, SaaS and API-first products as well as the technical ins and outs of APIs in general

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU:
  • 120+ team of engineers, product managers and product designers in Berlin
  • Leaders with 8+ years of experience building our promotions engine
  • €1,000 annual learning budget and free German language courses to boost your skills
  • 30 days of annual leave, plus extra paid days for your birthday and moving day
  • Home office setup budget, a monthly home office allowance
  • Freedom to work from abroad for up to 90 days worldwide!
  • Mental health support with nilo.health and a discounted Urban Sports Club membership
  • 20% company subsidy on your pension contributions
  • Subsidized BVG public transport ticket and welcome your furry friend in our dog-friendly Berlin office!

WHY YOU SHOULD WORK FOR US:

  • The right attitude: modern methods and a diverse, creative workspace with an open and international culture
  • Everyone for the product: Together we create a flexible, highly scalable product with state-of-the-art technologies. We can only succeed if everyone works as a team
  • Healthy Growth: Growing our company means growing everyone in the team. We love to share knowledge and learn
  • A great environment: Flexible and family-friendly environment, bright and easily accessible offices, modern software and hardware
  • High flexibility degree: Prefer to work early or late at night? Do you have to pick up your children from kindergarten? Do you prefer working abroad? We believe in results and motivated employees

About this role

Talon. One is looking for a Product Manager to own the Gamification domain within their retail and e-commerce platform. You'd lead discovery and strategy across three engineering squads, working directly with retailers and brands to understand how loyalty and personalization mechanics drive their business outcomes. This is a B2B SaaS role where you define the problem and product direction while your Engineering Manager handles delivery—so success depends on your ability to uncover real customer needs through research and stakeholder engagement, then translate them into clear specifications and measurable impact.

The role suits someone with at least three years of product management experience, ideally in B2B or contexts where the end user differs from the end consumer. You should be comfortable making decisions with incomplete information, work well in cross-functional agile teams, and have a solid grasp of SaaS, APIs, and how they function technically. Domain knowledge in loyalty or promotions is a bonus but not required; what matters more is your curiosity about how gamification influences behavior and your pragmatism in balancing stakeholder needs with technical constraints.

You'd be based in Berlin working in-office, joining a 120-person engineering and product organization with experienced leaders. The package includes 30 days annual leave, a €1,000 learning budget with free German courses, home office allowance, up to 90 days remote work globally, pension contributions, and various wellness perks. The culture emphasizes results-driven work, knowledge sharing, and flexibility around how and when you work.
