JOB PURPOSE

As an Account Manager within our Creative team, you are responsible for building and maintaining strong, trusted relationships with our clients and for managing the day-to-day client relationship across projects and ongoing work.

You will be the key point of contact for your clients, ensuring clear communication, alignment and a positive client experience. You will work closely with our Creative, Design, Strategy and other specialist teams to make sure client needs are understood and translated into high-quality work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as a day-to-day point of contact for clients, managing communication, expectations and follow-up across projects and ongoing activities.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the client’s business, brand, objectives, audiences and challenges, and ensure this context is reflected in the work we deliver.
  • Organise and lead regular client meetings, calls, planning sessions, briefings and project check-ins.
  • Translate client needs and requests into clear briefs and actionable next steps for internal teams.
  • Work closely with Creative, Design, Strategy and other specialist teams to ensure work meets client expectations and objectives.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and according to agreed budgets.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve the client relationship, ways of working and the quality of our output.
  • Support Account Directors with account planning and, as you develop in the role, take increasing ownership of client and account responsibilities.
  • Contribute to identifying opportunities for further work within existing client relationships, in collaboration with Account Directors and relevant specialists.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • 4–6 years of experience in an Account Management role within a creative, digital or advertising agency environment.
  • Strong experience managing day-to-day client relationships and multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to build trust with clients and internal teams.
  • A good understanding of creative and digital marketing processes and the ability to work effectively with Creative and Design teams.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with a proactive and structured approach to managing accounts and projects.
  • The ability to understand client needs, manage expectations and turn feedback into clear actions for the team.
  • Commercial awareness and an interest in developing existing client relationships, without needing to be a dedicated new-business or sales profile.
  • Ambitious, collaborative and results-oriented, with a willingness to take on increasing responsibility.
  • Native-level Dutch and fluent English, both written and spoken.

WE OFFER

  • A flexible, hybrid working policy (2-3 days from the office in Amsterdam) and the opportunity to work from abroad for 13 weeks a year.
