Description

This is a hybrid role at our Austin, TX HQ in South Austin near Dripping Springs.

About the Job

Salesforce is the engine behind how Lightspeed runs - and we need someone to keep it humming.

As our Salesforce Administrator, you’ll own the day-to-day of our Salesforce platform: user setup, data quality, reports and dashboards, automation, and the projects that make our internal teams faster and smarter. You’ll report to our Senior Director, MIS, with technical mentorship from our Salesforce Product Manager. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to own the platform, not just tickets - and grow into bigger automation, integration, and AI-driven work as you go.

As the Salesforce Administrator, you will:

  • Be the go-to for Salesforce support - triaging, resolving, and escalating tickets, and driving issues to resolution
  • Keep the platform running clean - user admin, data hygiene, reports, dashboards, and declarative automation
  • Own projects end to end - configuration, testing, documentation, deployment
  • Help us work smarter - supporting AI-driven automations and integrations across Salesforce and connected tools

About the Role

Essential functions (not exhaustive, may be supplemented):

  • Serve as primary point of contact for Salesforce service desk requests
  • Administer Salesforce - user setup, profiles, permission sets, roles, groups, licenses
  • Maintain data quality through imports, updates, dedup, and hygiene processes
  • Build and maintain reports, dashboards, list views, and automation (flows, validation rules, approval processes, page layouts)
  • Own assigned Salesforce projects end to end, partnering with the Product Manager on bigger initiatives
  • Support onboarding, offboarding, and end-user training  Monitor integrations with connected systems (e.g., NetSuite) and test releases and upgrades
  • Support, test, and maintain AI-driven automations and integrations
  • Document processes, configurations, and solutions in the team knowledge base
  • Follow and help enforce security, access, and change-management policies
  • Take on progressively more complex admin, automation, and integration work as you grow

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years hands-on Salesforce administration (or comparable business-app admin) - stepping up from a junior/associate role? Apply anyway
  • Hands-on with declarative config and automation - flows, validation rules, page layouts, approval processes
  • Comfortable owning data quality and building reports/dashboards independently
  • Experience with tools like Adobe Sign, ChurnZero, Zapier, or n8n a plus
  • Comfortable using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) day-to-day, with interest in applying AI to automate admin work
  • Jira or similar project management experience
  • Strong documentation and QA habits
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator preferred, or working toward it
  • NetSuite or similar ERP exposure, plus general IT literacy (macOS, Microsoft 365, identity/access), a plus
  • Self-starter, sharp communicator, comfortable prioritizing multiple requests in a fast-paced, highgrowth environment
  • Available for flexible hours and occasional on-call support

About this role

Lightspeed Systems relies on Salesforce to run its operations, and this role puts you in charge of keeping that engine running smoothly. You'll handle everything from user administration and data quality to building reports, dashboards, and automation—flows, validation rules, approval processes—that make internal teams faster and smarter. This is hands-on platform ownership: triaging support requests, owning projects end to end, and progressively taking on more complex integration and automation work as you grow. You'll report to the Senior Director of MIS and get technical mentorship from the Salesforce Product Manager.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of hands-on Salesforce administration experience and strong skills in declarative configuration and automation. You should be comfortable managing data quality independently, building reports and dashboards, and documenting your work thoroughly. Experience with tools like Adobe Sign, ChurnZero, Zapier, or n8n is a plus, as is familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERPs. A Salesforce Certified Administrator credential is preferred but not required if you're actively working toward it. Equally important: you're comfortable using AI tools daily and interested in applying them to automate admin work, you can juggle multiple requests in a fast-paced environment, and you're willing to be flexible with hours and occasional on-call support.

The role is hybrid based at Lightspeed's Austin headquarters, a 31-acre campus with a private chef, fitness center, and plenty of collaboration spaces. This is a good fit if you want to own a platform rather than just handle tickets, and if you're ready to grow into bigger automation and integration projects.
