About this role
VitalCaring is seeking a Hospice Aide/CNA to deliver hands-on, comfort-focused care to patients in their homes throughout the Tucson area. You'll assist with daily living activities—bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding—while supporting mobility, skin care, and light housekeeping. Beyond physical tasks, the role centers on presence and empathy: observing patient condition changes, reporting to the clinical team, and honoring individual preferences and cultural needs. You'll work as part of an interdisciplinary team that includes RNs, social workers, and chaplains, all aligned around the hospice philosophy of comfort and dignity.
This position requires state-required Hospice Aide or CNA training, current CPR certification, and reliable transportation to travel between patient homes. You'll need strong documentation and communication skills, the ability to follow care plans precisely, and genuine emotional resilience when working with end-of-life patients and their families. The role suits someone who finds deep meaning in serving others during vulnerable moments and who can bring both practical competence and authentic compassion to every interaction.
VitalCaring, founded in 2021 and now operating 100+ locations nationwide, offers a full benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage; 401(k) matching; paid time off; and tuition reimbursement. The company emphasizes ongoing training and team support, positioning this as a stable, purpose-driven opportunity for someone committed to hospice care.
