About Us

At Herself Health, we're on a mission to help women get more life out of life, together. We are reimagining primary care for women 50+ by creating the time, trust, and clinical focus needed to address the realities of aging - including menopause and post-menopausal health, bone health, cardiometabolic health, weight management, preventive care, and mental, emotional, and social well-being.

Our values shape how we care for patients and how we work with one another. We put Her First in every decision, stay Curious and Always Learning, Own It and Act when something can be better, and believe we are Together, Unstoppable when we collaborate with purpose. Herself Health currently serves patients across five clinics in the Twin Cities, and we are exploring how our relationship-centered model could support women in new communities.

About This Future Opportunity

Herself Health is exploring a potential future expansion into the Greater Charlotte region across Mecklenburg, Union, Gaston, Iredell, and Rowan Counties. This is an exploratory talent posting, not an active opening. A clinic location, opening timeline, compensation range, and hiring dates have not yet been established. By sharing your interest, you can help us better understand the local provider community and be among the first considered if plans move forward.

Our search includes physicians living in or interested in communities such as Charlotte, Matthews, Monroe, Gastonia, Mooresville, Salisbury, and surrounding areas. The eventual practice location, if approved, would be within Mecklenburg, Union, Gaston, Iredell, or Rowan County.

About You

You are a thoughtful, collaborative physician who wants to practice medicine in a way that puts patients first. You bring strong clinical judgment, listen with empathy, and are energized by the opportunity to improve how care is delivered. Working within a value-based care environment, you will help improve patient outcomes and experience, support accurate documentation and coding, and advance quality measures, including HEDIS performance.

About this role

Herself Health is exploring expansion into the Greater Charlotte area and seeking a Primary Care Physician to help establish their model of women-centered primary care in the region. This is an exploratory posting—no clinic location, timeline, or final compensation has been set—but it offers an early opportunity to shape a new practice from the ground up if expansion moves forward.

The role centers on longitudinal, comprehensive care for women 50 and older, with particular focus on menopause, cardiometabolic health, bone health, weight management, and preventive care. You'll work within an interdisciplinary team, managing complex chronic conditions, addressing mental and social-emotional needs, and educating patients thoroughly. The position also involves contributing to clinical quality metrics, population health outcomes, and the organization's value-based care model. Clinics operate Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., with 8- or 10-hour shifts available; the role is full-time at 30–40 hours per week.

You'll need board certification (ABFM or ABIM), an active North Carolina license, and at least three years of longitudinal primary care experience managing complex conditions common in aging populations. Strong clinical judgment, patient-centered communication, and comfort with medication management in older adults are essential. Preferred experience includes geriatric or women's health focus, value-based care familiarity, and comfort with modern EHRs like Athenahealth. The position offers competitive base salary, quarterly quality bonuses, paid time off, and CME support. This suits physicians drawn to collaborative, relationship-centered practice and interested in helping develop a growing clinical model.
