About this role

Gossamer Bio is seeking a Senior Manager to lead SEC reporting and technical accounting for a public biotech company. This role owns the full lifecycle of periodic SEC filings—10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, proxy statements, and registration statements—while ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and internal controls. You'll also manage the company's equity administration programs (options, RSUs, PSUs, ESPP) and their accounting and disclosure implications. The position requires close collaboration across Accounting/Finance, Legal, Investor Relations, and external auditors to maintain accurate, timely financial reporting and public company compliance.

The ideal candidate holds a CPA and brings five or more years of accounting experience, ideally from public biotech, pharmaceutical, or public accounting firms. You'll need strong technical grounding in U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements, with stock-based compensation accounting expertise particularly valuable. Familiarity with Workiva (Wdesk) and E*Trade Equity Edge is a plus. This is a detail-oriented role requiring the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive, high-visibility projects independently while communicating effectively across functions and with senior leadership.

Based in San Diego with a hybrid arrangement, this full-time position offers a salary range of $155,000 to $192,000, plus annual performance bonus eligibility and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, and long-term incentives.
