About this role

Industrial Electric Manufacturing is bringing a new manufacturing plant online in San Antonio and needs a Quality Control Supervisor to lead testing and inspection operations during this startup phase. You'd manage test technicians and inspectors, oversee daily QC activities across product lines, and ensure all work meets UL standards and customer specifications. The role is temporary and based in-office in northeast San Antonio while the permanent facility at Brooks comes online, then will relocate there.

This position demands someone with manufacturing supervisory experience—at least two years managing production or quality teams—plus solid technical knowledge of electrical testing methods like hipot, megger, and torque checks. You'll need to balance competing priorities between production schedules and quality requirements, investigate test failures, maintain equipment calibration, and drive continuous improvement through accurate data collection. The role calls for proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP systems like Infor Syteline; ISO 9001, NFPA, and UL compliance knowledge is essential.

The ideal candidate thrives in a startup environment with a flexible, problem-solving mindset. You'll spend most of your time on the floor (70% standing and walking), handle regular lifting up to 50 pounds, and be comfortable stepping in wherever needed. A technical degree or relevant certification is preferred, though five years of manufacturing experience can substitute. If you have a track record leading quality teams through rapid growth and can manage both the technical and people sides of a new operation, this temporary role offers real impact during a critical launch phase.
