About this role

ARCO is hiring a Construction Superintendent to oversee commercial interior projects in New York City—retail, restaurant, and entertainment spaces. You'll manage field operations from the job site itself, coordinating subcontractors, tracking schedules and budgets, enforcing safety and quality standards, and keeping the project manager and owner informed of progress. The role demands someone who leads by example, makes decisions quickly under pressure, and stays committed to delivering work on time, within budget, and to specification.

You'll need three to ten years of commercial interiors construction experience, solid computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, scheduling software), and a valid driver's license. The position requires physical stamina—standing, walking, climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds—and the willingness to travel across the country. Leadership ability, integrity, and a genuine commitment to safety and quality are non-negotiable; bilingual English and Spanish skills are a plus.

ARCO offers a competitive package: $130,000–$160,000 salary, a company vehicle with gas card, performance-based bonuses, ESOP participation, 401k options, tuition reimbursement, and a one-month paid sabbatical every five years plus $5,000 for travel. Medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid parental leave, and a week of paid volunteer time round out the benefits. This is a full-time, in-office role suited for someone who thrives managing construction from the field rather than behind a desk.
