About this role

Comprehensive Mobile Care is looking for an optometrist to staff their Albuquerque clinic on a minimal, predictable schedule—just 1 to 2 weekdays per month at $1,200 per visit day. You'd work as an independent contractor within an established outpatient clinic setting, conducting comprehensive eye exams and managing common ocular conditions for senior patients alongside full-time clinic staff. The organization handles all scheduling, equipment, supplies, and billing, so your time is spent entirely on clinical care rather than practice administration.

This role suits someone seeking meaningful work with genuine schedule flexibility and no overhead burden. The clinic operates on a quality-focused, team-based model rather than high-volume retail optometry, emphasizing patient-centered care within a coordinated community health setting. You'll need an active New Mexico optometry license, an OD degree, and ideally some experience working with seniors, but the position offers consistency and professional support without the demands of running your own practice.
