  • Provide tax input on new investment structures, acquisitions and disposals
  • Act as primary day-to-day liaison with external tax advisors, auditors and the ATO
  • Support tax provisioning and cash flow forecasting for tax payments
  • Support tax aspects of estate and succession planning, including restructures, entity establishment and wind-ups
  • Monitor changes in tax law relevant to trusts, private groups and high-net-worth structures

About this role

Easygo's newly created Tax Manager role places you at the centre of the founders' family office, managing tax across a private group of interconnected, high-net-worth entities. This is a hands-on position combining compliance management with strategic advisory work—you'll own everything from income tax and BAS returns through to Division 7A monitoring, trust distribution reviews, and international tax considerations including CFC and transferor trust rules. You'll work closely with investment and legal teams on acquisitions, disposals and new structures, and serve as the primary liaison between the group, external tax advisors, auditors and the ATO.

The role demands 5+ years in family office or private wealth tax, CA or CPA qualification, and strong technical grounding in Australian corporate and trust taxation. You'll need working knowledge of international tax concepts relevant to private groups, proven relationship-building skills, and the diplomatic communication style required when handling sensitive, high-value matters. Experience with postgraduate tax qualifications is valued but not essential.

This suits someone who prefers depth over breadth and wants direct exposure to complex structures rather than broad-based practice. Easygo offers competitive pay with performance bonuses up to 20%, generous parental leave and return-to-work support, and a modern Melbourne office with the usual perks—catered breakfasts, free coffee, recreational facilities and a culture emphasizing fair hiring and internal mobility.
