About this role

The MJ Companies is seeking an intern to support population health and wellness initiatives across their Phoenix consulting practice during summer 2026. You'll work full-time in a hands-on role that bridges client strategy and internal operations, gaining exposure to how population health programs, data analysis, and vendor partnerships drive cost containment and risk management for corporate clients.

Your responsibilities will span three main areas: collaborating on wellness strategy development and communications for clients, coordinating the logistics of health events and screenings, and researching vendors to support proposal work. You'll also contribute to building internal templates and processes that improve how the firm delivers these services. The role demands strong organizational skills to juggle multiple priorities, proficiency with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint), and the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.

This internship suits someone pursuing or recently completing a degree in public health, health promotion, exercise and wellness, nutrition, or a related field—someone who combines attention to detail with genuine interest in how population health initiatives work in practice. You should be adaptable, solution-oriented, and committed to supporting client success.
