About this role

iCapital is seeking a Senior Vice President to lead its enterprise-wide ERISA compliance program, serving as the primary regulatory expert for the firm's investment advisers, collective investment trusts, retirement products, and plan clients. You would own the full scope of ERISA fiduciary obligations, prohibited transaction rules, and Qualified Professional Asset Manager (QPAM) exemption requirements—working across Legal, Product, Operations, Finance, and Investment Management to build and maintain policies, controls, and monitoring frameworks. The role includes advising business teams on regulatory implications, managing risk-based compliance reviews, overseeing QPAM certifications and testing, and representing the firm during regulatory examinations and new product launches.

This position suits someone with 10+ years in investment advisory, asset management, compliance, or ERISA-focused legal work, paired with deep knowledge of DOL regulations, fiduciary standards, and prohibited transaction exemptions. You should have hands-on experience designing compliance programs and testing protocols, familiarity with alternative investments and institutional asset structures, and the analytical and communication skills to translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable guidance for non-specialist stakeholders. An advanced degree (J.D., MBA, or equivalent) and prior QPAM compliance experience are preferred.

Based in Salt Lake City with in-office presence Monday through Thursday, the role offers a salary range of $150,000 to $200,000, equity participation, annual performance bonus, matched retirement contributions, employer-paid dental and vision coverage, telemedicine and mental health support, parental leave, and unlimited PTO.
