About this role

HSO Group is seeking an Azure Cloud Solutions Architect to lead the full spectrum of cloud design work—from initial discovery and strategy through implementation and deployment. You'll own the end-to-end architecture of secure, scalable Azure solutions, working across applications, integrations, data, infrastructure, and security. The role blends deep technical credibility with client-facing leadership: you'll facilitate workshops to translate business needs into actionable plans, mentor development teams, establish engineering standards, and act as a trusted advisor who can explain complex trade-offs clearly to both technical and business stakeholders.

This position demands 8+ years designing and delivering Azure solutions, with a strong software engineering foundation in C#, .NET, microservices, and distributed systems. You'll need hands-on expertise across core Azure services—App Services, Functions, API Management, Service Bus, SQL, Key Vault, Containers, and Kubernetes—plus proficiency in DevOps practices, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep), and CI/CD tools. Experience modernizing legacy applications, designing enterprise integrations, and working in consulting or professional services environments is expected. An Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification is valued but not required.

The role is based in New York City and requires in-office work. HSO offers competitive compensation with performance bonuses, unlimited paid time off, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) matching. This is a good fit if you're energized by solving complex enterprise cloud challenges, leading teams, and growing a consulting practice alongside colleagues.
