About this role
CoreWeave's Data Center Operations team is looking for a technician to keep the physical infrastructure running that powers their AI cloud platform. You'd be working hands-on in their Cheyenne data center, diagnosing and repairing hardware and network issues, performing root cause analysis when things fail, and responding to emergencies within an hour during on-call shifts. The work includes assembling equipment, maintaining inventory, writing documentation, and developing scripts to automate updates—essentially keeping the backbone of their service reliable and available for clients.
You'll need solid computer hardware troubleshooting skills and Linux experience to start. The role demands physical capability: lifting equipment up to 50 pounds regularly, working in tight spaces like under-floor areas and elevated racks, and handling fine components in a data center environment where temperatures swing between 60 and 90 degrees. You'll also need flexibility for a rotating on-call schedule in a 24/7 operation, with occasional travel to other locations. Prior data center, networking, or scripting experience (Python, Bash) would strengthen your candidacy, as would an IT-related degree, but CoreWeave values learning ability and curiosity about infrastructure over a perfect resume match.
The position is full-time and 100% onsite in Cheyenne, with a salary range of $65,000 to $83,000 plus bonus and equity. This is a newly public company in rapid growth mode, so there's room to develop and expand your role as the organization scales.
