About this role
Be Relax Spa's Assistant Spa Manager role at LAX combines operational oversight with direct client engagement in a high-traffic airport location. You'll balance administrative responsibilities—payroll, scheduling, inventory, and compliance reporting—with hands-on spa management, including facility walk-throughs and quality assurance. The position also emphasizes sales performance, requiring you to monitor KPIs, implement upselling strategies, and drive merchandising efforts to meet team and individual goals.
This role suits someone with a current massage therapy, cosmetology, or nail technician license and 1–2 years each of spa and retail sales experience. You'll need strong organizational and communication skills to manage a team, work flexibly across days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, and maintain proficiency with MS Office. The ideal candidate genuinely enjoys working with people and can deliver a relaxing client experience while keeping the business side running smoothly.
Compensation includes base pay plus commission and tips, along with paid time off, medical/vision/dental coverage, a 401K program, tuition reimbursement, and service discounts. This is a full-time, in-office position in a professional spa environment at a major transportation hub.
