Description

About Juno

Juno leverages collective bargaining power to secure better student loan rates for students. With 290,000+ members and over $2B in negotiated loan volume, we've proven that group buying works. We are the most popular way to pay for the world's top graduate programs, and we're looking for someone to own the communications that reach our members at the moments that decide whether they borrow with us.

The Problem:

Federal lending reforms have created a significant market shift. In July 2026, new caps on federal graduate loans, including the elimination of Grad PLUS for new students, came into effect leaving millions of students with significant funding gaps. Students need transparent, competitive private options, exactly what Juno provides.

Your mission:

We're seeking a leader to own our full-funnel growth for nursing schools. Nursing is a brand-new vertical for Juno, you'll build it from zero into one of our fastest-growing markets. Your efforts will ensure every future nurse gets fair, transparent financing options.
You'll build the playbook for reaching hundreds of CRNA, DNP, and MSN programs and establishing Juno as the go-to resource for nursing student financing.

What you’ll do:

  • Own the nursing vertical: Build and execute GTM strategy from the ground up, hit growth targets, and drive Juno member growth in a market we're entering for the first time
  • Scale distribution through partnerships:
    • Negotiate national deals with key organizations that can help reach our target market
    • Activate campus-based chapters with turnkey playbooks
    • Partner with NCLEX prep companies, nursing associations, and the nursing school admissions ecosystem
    • Run targeted campaigns aligned to application cycles
  • Build a campus ambassador network: Recruit, train, and manage high-performing nursing students across Nursing programs with clear KPIs and incentives
  • Talk to members directly: Talk to students directly throughout the cycle. Calls, email, DMs, campus visits. You should know the top five reasons a nursing student with a rate offer never submits an application because you've heard them first-hand, not because a dashboard told you.
  • Be the expert students trust: Become fluent in how graduate borrowing actually works. Federal vs. private, what drives a rate, cosigners, in-school deferral, refinancing, and what changed under the new caps and be the person who can give a first-semester Nursing student a straight answer.
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives: Partner with product on feature development, collaborate with the CX/client happiness team, and ensure compliance on messaging
  • Manage operations and analytics: Forecast pipeline, track cohort performance, optimize CAC/LTV, and manage budget allocation
  • Partner with senior leadership to own waitlist growth → loan origination: landing pages, A/B tests, content, webinars, email/SMS, and event cycles aligned to application, admissions, and financial aid timelines

What We Offer

Compensation: $150k–$250k, including performance upside tied to growth milestones. Top performers will exceed this range.

Benefits: Comprehensive health, dental, vision, and retirement matching.

What We’re Looking For

  • Background: Typically 3–5+ years or an outlier track record (e.g., you scaled a campus network, ran national org programming, built a zero-to-one motion).
    • Preference for experience in professional services, management consulting, investment banking, or high-growth startups
    • Preference for an owner-operator who has owned a number in growth/BD/marketplaces/fintech/edtech or campus-scale programs.
  • Ownership of a number, end to end: you'll carry the Nursing vertical's funded-loan target and the conversion rates underneath it. You're comfortable being both the person who explains a miss and the person who fixes it.
  • Bias to action: ship experiments frequently; instrument attribution; close loops with lender relations & compliance.
  • Fluency with your own data: you can find where students stall between a rate offer and a submitted application, and make the case for a fix with evidence rather than instinct.
  • Relationship-building that compounds: schools, student organizations, ambassadors, and admissions communities. Equally comfortable on a call with a target B2B partner and in a group chat with nursing students.
  • Zero-to-one comfort: there is no existing playbook for this vertical. You'll write it, and you find that exciting rather than daunting.
  • Comfort with seasonality: our year has a peak. You plan for it months ahead and go all-in when it lands.
  • Tenacity: we work as hard as it takes to achieve our targets.

The X-Factor

  • You're hungry: Ready to own outcomes, not just make recommendations
  • You're scrappy: Will do whatever it takes to win
  • You're magnetic: Can recruit and inspire great people
  • You think in systems: you'd rather build the process once than do the thing by hand ten times

Why Join Juno?

The Opportunity

Real Impact: Help hundreds of thousands of students get access to the lowest rates on the market.

Market Timing: Federal aid changes create massive tailwind for growth.

Proven Model: $2B+ negotiated, 290K+ members - product-market fit achieved.

About this role

Juno is building its nursing vertical from scratch, and they're looking for a leader to own the entire growth engine—from zero to one of their fastest-growing markets. You'd be responsible for hitting funded-loan targets across nursing schools, which means designing the go-to-market strategy, negotiating partnerships with national nursing organizations, building a campus ambassador network, and running the full funnel from awareness through loan origination. This is a true ownership role where you'll carry the number end-to-end and be accountable for both explaining misses and fixing them.

The role demands someone with 3–5+ years in high-growth environments—ideally professional services, consulting, investment banking, or startups—who has owned a specific metric or program before. You need to be equally comfortable in spreadsheets analyzing where students drop off between rate offers and applications as you are recruiting ambassadors or pitching nursing associations. Direct student conversations matter here; you should know the top reasons a nursing student doesn't move forward because you've heard them firsthand, not from a dashboard.

This is remote from Miami with a $150k–$250k base plus performance upside tied to growth milestones. The federal lending landscape just shifted significantly in July 2026, creating real tailwind for private options like Juno's. If you thrive building systems, moving fast, and turning a blank slate into a repeatable playbook, this could be the right fit.
