About this role
ASM is seeking a technical manager to lead field process engineering for semiconductor deposition equipment, bridging customer needs with internal R&D and manufacturing teams. You would own the full lifecycle from new product introduction through high-volume manufacturing transition, managing both the technical execution and a team of process engineers. This role demands deep expertise in thin-film deposition processes—PEALD, PECVD, ALD, epitaxy, or similar—combined with the ability to anticipate customer requirements, resolve escalations, and drive cross-functional alignment across a global organization.
The ideal candidate brings 6–12+ years in semiconductor process engineering (depending on degree level) with proven success managing complex technology transfers from lab to production. You should have a track record leading organizational change, managing stakeholder relationships under pressure, and building high-performing teams. Experience in memory or advanced packaging, prior work at an equipment supplier, and demonstrated business acumen are strong advantages. The role is based in Boise and requires travel for customer engagement and technical support.
