About this role
Catamount Constructors, a 100% employee-owned general contractor based in Denver, is offering an immersive summer internship designed to give you hands-on exposure across the three core areas of construction management: Preconstruction, Project Management, and Field Operations. Rather than a single narrow track, your experience will be customized to your interests and growth needs, rotating through different facets of the business so you understand how estimating, scheduling, contracts, quality control, and field execution all connect.
Depending on your focus area, you might learn to take off quantities and assemble project scopes for bidding, assist project managers with schedules and subcontractor coordination, or work onsite supporting superintendents with scheduling, quality, safety documentation, and closeout tasks. The role calls for someone pursuing a degree in construction technology, building construction, civil engineering, business, or a related field—someone with strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across teams, contractors, and vendors. You'll work in-office in Denver and be eligible for a relocation bonus and housing allowance if needed.
Beyond the internship itself, Catamount emphasizes mentorship, career development, and a culture where people advance into long-term roles rather than cycling through. As an employee-owner company with a diverse national project backlog, the firm offers stability and real pathways to grow. The compensation is $23 per hour, and you'll have access to their full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), ESOP participation, and generous paid time off.
