About this role
Nox Group's 12-week Field Engineer Internship places you directly on active construction projects across their industrial and manufacturing divisions, working in Austin on a full-time, in-office basis. You'll rotate through different project phases—preconstruction, industrial work, and manufacturing—shadowing experienced Project Managers and Project Engineers while handling real responsibilities like surveying, quality inspections, document management, and progress tracking. This is hands-on work that bridges classroom theory and jobsite reality.
The role demands someone currently enrolled in a four-year Construction Management or Engineering program who can communicate clearly, take ownership, and work comfortably in physical field environments. You'll need proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb, operate vehicles, and handle the varied physical demands of active construction sites. A positive, teachable attitude matters as much as technical skill—you're expected to learn from seasoned professionals while contributing meaningfully to project success.
This internship suits students ready to test whether construction management is the right career path and willing to do the unglamorous work—surveys, inspections, paperwork, coordination—that keeps projects moving safely and on schedule.
