About this role
Lyft is building AI agents to transform customer support, and this role puts you at the center of that effort. You'd own the product strategy for intelligent agents handling chat and voice interactions, working directly with engineering, data science, and ML teams to design capabilities, refine prompts, and test conversation flows against real customer needs. This means moving beyond traditional automation—you're shaping systems that understand complex problems and resolve issues with human-level quality, then rapidly iterating based on what you learn from actual support interactions.
The role demands someone with five-plus years of product management experience and genuine technical depth in AI, ML, or conversational interfaces. You'll need to translate between engineering teams and support operations, define success metrics, and make data-driven calls on what to build next. This isn't a role where you hand off specs; you're expected to engage credibly with technical systems, understand what's possible and what isn't, and move quickly in an ambiguous space where you're shaping solutions as much as executing them.
You'd be based in San Francisco, working in-office three days a week (Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays), with the flexibility to work remotely up to four weeks annually. The salary range is $148,000–$185,000, plus equity and bonus potential. Lyft offers standard benefits including medical, dental, vision, mental health support, 401(k) matching, 18 weeks of paid parental leave, and commuter subsidies.
