About this role

Syska Hennessy Group is hiring an entry-level electrical engineer to join their Chicago office and contribute to MEP design work across a range of project types and scales. You'll spend most of your time on CAD and REVIT drafting, learning design standards and coordination practices from senior engineers while supporting system designs for new installations, retrofits, and upgrades. The role includes field site visits and participation in design coordination meetings with other trades, giving you exposure to how projects move from concept through construction.

This position is part of Syska's Engineer Development Training program, a structured mentorship curriculum designed to build both technical expertise and business acumen. You'll attend regular training sessions and continuing education seminars alongside your project work, with senior engineers serving as close mentors. The ideal candidate is a recent electrical or architectural engineering graduate (graduating Winter 2026 or later), comfortable working both collaboratively and independently, with proficiency in MS Office and preferably some CAD or REVIT experience. An EIT or FE certification is preferred but not required.

The role offers a hybrid schedule—nine hours in-office Monday through Thursday, with Fridays split between four hours remote and a half-day in-office year-round. Benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) with employer matching, professional development support, and paid time off, with salary ranging from $55,847 to $83,771 depending on experience.
