Parkway Orthodontics, part of Specialty Dental Brands, is looking for a full-time Orthodontic Assistant to support their clinical team in Sioux Falls. You'd work chairside with the orthodontist during procedures—preparing teeth for braces and Invisalign, placing separators and wires, taking X-rays and digital scans, and managing patient flow. The role also involves sterilizing instruments, documenting appointments, educating patients on care, and maintaining strict infection control and HIPAA standards. Hours are Monday through Thursday, 7:15am to 5:00pm, plus Friday mornings until noon.

This position requires a valid South Dakota Dental Assistant license or DANB certification, plus a SD Dental Radiographer license. Experience administering nitrous oxide is preferred but not required. You'll need to be detail-oriented, reliable with attendance, comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced setting, and genuinely compassionate with patients and families. The practice emphasizes teamwork and clear communication.

The salary ranges from $20 to $29 per hour based on experience. Benefits include health and dental insurance, vision coverage, a health savings account, flexible spending account, 401(k) matching, life insurance, and paid time off.
