Description
Does driving innovation and creating better experiences through technology inspire you?
At Re-Leased, we’re levelling up real estate and helping property professionals thrive in a digital-first world. Our cloud-based property management platform combines smart automation, AI-driven insights, and deep industry expertise to make everyday work simpler and more rewarding. We’re here to help property people run better businesses, build stronger communities, and love what they do.
Your Role
As Product Manager (Reporting & Credia AI), you'll own the "why", the "what", and the "how it looks and feels" for two squads, one extending the reporting and insight capability our customers rely on to run their portfolios, and one extending Credia AI across the Re-Leased product.
This is a deliberately hybrid role. You're the product manager and the designer for your squads, roughly half your time on discovery, prioritisation and delivery, and half on the design craft itself: flows, wireframes, high-fidelity screens and prototypes. There is no hand-off culture here, we all ship together. Design experience is a distinct advantage, we're looking for a product manager first, but one who can design what they ship. AI-augmented product work is core to how we operate, not an experiment on the side; you'll use AI tools daily across research, drafting, design and prototyping.
This role could be based remotely in New Zealand or in our Auckland or Napier offices.
Your Responsibilities
- Own the roadmap and backlog for two squads, translating customer needs and business priorities into clear, well-sequenced work
- Act as both product manager and designer — producing user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity screens and interactive prototypes using Claude Design
- Shape reporting and analytics capability that's accurate, trusted and genuinely self-serve, partnering with Engineering and Data on data models and trade-offs
- Extend Credia AI across the product, designing for probabilistic behaviour, graceful failure, transparency and user trust
- Conduct customer interviews independently and use product usage data (Pendo) and AI synthesis to inform roadmap direction
- Use AI tools (e.g. Claude Desktop, Claude Projects) as an everyday teammate for research, analysis, drafting and prototyping
- Write clear user stories, PRDs and specs, and present and defend design rationale to stakeholders and executives
- Hold a high bar for functional quality and craft — accessibility, responsiveness and interaction detail included
Your Experience
- Solid experience as a Product Manager in a SaaS or technology environment, with a track record of owning a product area and delivering with quality
- Demonstrable product design skill evidenced by a portfolio — work you personally designed and shipped, not just design appreciation
- Confident producing production-ready UI; fluency with AI-native design tooling matters more than any single package (we use Claude Design and Claude Artifacts)
- Strong discovery and validation practice, with data literacy as a baseline and comfort with analytics tools
- Daily fluency with AI assistants for product and design work, with a working understanding of prompt design, evaluation and hallucination management
- Experience designing complex B2B/SaaS workflows where information density and user expertise are real constraints
- Experience with Pendo, ProductBoard, Azure DevOps or comparable tools; exposure to reporting or data-heavy product areas is highly regarded
Our culture is very important to us too, and we strongly believe in living out our core values:
- People First: One team globally; our people and customers always come first.
- Find a Way: Like a river, we find a way around all obstacles
- Win or Learn: Our journey for improvement never ends; enjoy the ride!
- Aim High: We dare to set big goals and love the challenge of achieving them against the odds.
Why you’ll love working here!
Taking care of you: Including comprehensive health insurance, access to a premium EAP service and an annual wellness allowance to spend on what helps you feel good - whether that’s towards a gym membership, new running shoes, or mindfulness apps.
Support for families: Generous paid parental leave and flexible, family-friendly support designed to help growing families balance work and life with confidence.
Recognition for tenure and milestones: We celebrate time, commitment, and contribution with milestone rewards and additional leave as you grow your career with us.
Flexible working, built for a global team: With customers and teammates across New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom, and North America, we work in a hybrid, remote-friendly way with collaborative offices and the flexibility of a balanced approach to WFH/i-office work.

About this role
Re-Leased is looking for a Product Manager to own two product squads focused on reporting and analytics, and AI-driven capabilities within their property management platform. This is an unusually hands-on role that blends product strategy with design execution—you'll spend roughly half your time on discovery, prioritisation and roadmap work, and half actually designing the user flows, wireframes, and prototypes your teams will build. There's no design handoff here; you ship what you design.
The role demands solid SaaS product experience and a genuine design portfolio of work you've personally shipped, not just product sense. You'll need daily fluency with AI tools (Claude Design and Claude Artifacts are core to how the team works), strong discovery practices backed by data literacy, and comfort navigating complex B2B workflows where information density matters. Experience with analytics platforms like Pendo and exposure to reporting or data-heavy product areas are valued. You'll conduct customer interviews yourself, use product usage data to inform decisions, and hold a high bar for craft—accessibility, responsiveness, and interaction detail included.
The position is based in Napier Hawkes Bay but offers flexibility to work remotely elsewhere in New Zealand or from Re-Leased's Auckland office. The company emphasises hybrid working, comprehensive health coverage, generous parental leave, and milestone-based recognition as you grow with them.
