About this role
Xceptor is seeking an Associate Product Manager to help build and refine tax technology products that serve financial institutions across multiple jurisdictions. You'd support the full product lifecycle—from gathering stakeholder requirements and conducting user research through to launch and performance monitoring—while working closely with tax experts, engineers, compliance teams, and business users to translate complex regulatory requirements into functional product features. The role spans tax calculation and reporting, VAT and GST capabilities, compliance workflows, and regulatory change management.
This position suits someone with product management experience or a closely related background who combines strong analytical skills with genuine curiosity about tax technology and financial systems. You'll need to communicate effectively across diverse teams, manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, and translate business and regulatory needs into clear requirements and user stories. The role is based in Cape Town and requires in-office attendance, though Xceptor operates a hybrid model with 2-3 days per week on-site.
