About this role

You'll lead Raisin's B2B Integrations Team, owning the full backend ecosystem that powers the company's B2B solutions across modern and legacy systems. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll remain a significant technical contributor—designing and implementing features primarily in Java and Python while managing the complete delivery cycle from requirements through production support. You'll work closely with your Product Manager and Tech Lead to drive strategy, OKRs, and platform capabilities that enable global partners to sell deposits on Raisin's savings and investment platform.

Your leadership responsibilities center on building and developing your engineering team in a remote environment. You'll hire, onboard, and coach engineers; establish performance standards; create individual development plans; and foster a culture of trust and open communication. Equally important is your ability to identify and mitigate delivery and team risks, escalating issues with clear mitigation plans when needed.

This role suits someone with at least eight years of backend engineering experience who has led teams remotely for at least two years and has hands-on experience navigating platform transitions. You'll need strong fundamentals in modern backend development, AWS, Kubernetes, and event-driven architectures, plus the communication skills to navigate both technical discussions and cross-functional collaboration. The position is based in Berlin but fully remote, with standard benefits including professional development budget, flexible hours, and 30 vacation days.
