About the Team
The Canada Ads Sales Team is responsible for the marketing vision, development, and growth of our advertising partnerships across CPG, New Verticals, and Restaurants. This team is rapidly growing, and is seeking additional team members to build an industry-leading ads and promotions business across DoorDash's Canada offerings. The growing DoorDash ads business has quickly become one of the best places for merchants and brands to market to local customers, in an ecosystem that benefits all parties.
About the Role
As the Senior Industry Manager, Canada, you will lead a team of Industry Managers, Account Executives and Post Sales Managers to build partnerships that create tangible value for both advertisers and DoorDash. In this role, you will manage the entire ads strategy across DoorDash Canada's CPG, New Verticals, and Restaurant advertiser base, and drive adoption of our growing ads and promotions offering. You will work cross-functionally with strategy, operations, marketing, analytics, and product to innovate on our future approach and solutions. You will report into the VP, North America and ANZ Ads Sales, in our Sales & Business Development organization.

- Successfully lead and develop a team of Industry Managers and sellers to consistently exceed business growth and product/feature adoption goals, grow advertiser value, and drive sustainable revenue for DoorDash across the Canadian market
- Establish trusted senior-level customer relationships and deliver thought leadership both internally and externally across the CPG, New Verticals, and Restaurant industries in Canada
- Represent advertiser needs to influence our Ads & Promos product roadmap and go-to-market strategy for the Canadian market
- Develop sales materials and sales processes to enable future scale of the team and business across multiple verticals
- Develop annual and quarterly sales plans and analyses to achieve ambitious goals and help customers meet their business and marketing objectives
- Partner with US and global Ads Sales leadership to bring proven best practices to the Canadian market while adapting strategy to local market nuances
- Lead short- and long-term business planning and sales forecasting to guide investment and resourcing decisions
- Drive the development and implementation of AI tools and skills to continually improve team productivity and efficiency
- Lead inspiring and actionable team meetings, trainings, and strategy sessions that keep the team aligned and motivated
We're excited about you because…
- You have a minimum of 8+ years managing a sales team effectively and leading team performance management to meet and exceed goals. Overall industry experience of 15+ years
- You are a consultative seller with significant experience in digital media or adjacent performance-oriented industries
- You have built scaled Enterprise Ads businesses across CPG, New Verticals, and/or Restaurant clients in the past
- You're an expert in using data and insights to inform recommendations, rooted in advertiser objectives and business priorities
- You have a firm understanding of digital technologies within the marketing/media mix, and are savvy with digital advertising measurement from attribution to funnel metrics
- You have strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills, and experience operating across several levels of an organization
- You hire and recruit top and diverse talent to drive outsized impact on the business and contribute to DoorDash's culture
- You have experience working directly with advertisers across CPG, New Verticals, and/or Restaurant categories
- You have experience navigating the Canadian advertising landscape, including bilingual market and provincial considerations
Compensation
Actual compensation within the pay range listed below will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. Base salary is localized according to employee work location.
In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants and sales commission. Talk to your recruiter for more information.
