About this role

Langan's Orlando office is looking for a Senior Staff Geotechnical Engineer to lead the technical and field aspects of land development projects across their diverse client base. You would design foundations, retaining walls, and excavation support systems while coordinating geotechnical investigations, overseeing construction inspections, and producing reports and specifications. The role blends office-based technical work with regular fieldwork, requiring you to manage investigations, prepare documentation, and partner across project teams on complex assignments.

The position calls for at least three years of hands-on experience in geotechnical investigations and construction inspections, with a civil or geotechnical engineering degree (master's preferred). You should have solid field experience in pile construction, load testing, retaining walls, and excavation support systems, along with familiarity in software tools like gINT, PLAXIS, and LPILE. Strong communication and analytical skills matter as much as your ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in both office and site settings.

This is a full-time, in-office role in Orlando with a firm that emphasizes career development, collaborative culture, and employee wellbeing. Langan offers comprehensive medical and dental coverage, 401(k) matching, paid time off, professional development reimbursement, and mentoring programs alongside flexible scheduling and wellness initiatives.
