About this role
ARCO's legal team is seeking a Contract Specialist to join their Atlanta office on a contract basis. You'll spend your days reviewing and negotiating subcontracts and vendor agreements, working to align them with company policies while identifying potential risks and resolving disputes. The role requires you to be a bridge between Project Managers, controllers, operations, and outside vendors—interpreting contract language, suggesting improvements to standard forms, and ensuring everyone understands their contractual and insurance obligations.
This position demands at least five years of hands-on contract administration experience, ideally grounded in construction. You'll need either a JD, paralegal certificate, or deep practical knowledge of construction contracts. Strong critical thinking, excellent written and verbal communication, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to build solid working relationships across teams are essential. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, and comfortable juggling multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
ARCO offers a comprehensive benefits package including an industry-leading performance bonus, ESOP participation, 401k options, tuition reimbursement, and notably generous perks like a one-month paid sabbatical every five years plus $5,000 travel funds, paid volunteer leave, and 12-week paid maternity leave. The company is a privately-held design-build leader with over 30 years in business and consistent recognition as a Best Place to Work.
